This course covers Measurement While Drilling Practices, Surveying, MWD Theory & Operation, Well Planning, Gamma Ray Logging, and Directional Drilling Basics. The course is designed for student without any prior knowledge for MWD and students will be taught how to rig up/ down MWD tools, obtain and interpret downhole data.
This course is designed to place entry level candidates into the MWD field as a starting hand. Technically inclined workers, recent college graduates, current oil filed workers
Introduction to petroleum and rig operations, Safety, principles of MWD, Coupling of Downhole tools and surface equipments. Program, diagnose and test tools, rigging up and down
Taking of survey (Inclination, azimuth and toolface), reading and interpretation of Downhole data. Basic trouble shooting of tools
